WiZmans World Re;Try releases for Switch, PS5, & PS4 on May 30, Xbox One & PC Steam later in 2024
City Connection has announced the release date for WiZmans World Re;Try. The company will release the remastered game first for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on May 30. It will also be available on Xbox One and PC via Steam later in 2024.
WiZmans World Re;Try will be a remaster of WiZmans World, Jaleco's final RPG and overall game that was released on Nintendo DS in 2010. As a reminder, Jaleco officially went out of business and disappeared in 2014. However, City Connection had acquired the company's game IPs one year prior in 2013.
While the original release was only available in Japan, this remaster is poised to support more languages. The Steam page reveals that there will be subtitles in not only Japanese but also English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
The Japanese press release also revealed that this remaster will have more improvements in addition to the newly arranged soundtrack by the instrumental unit soLi:
- Ability to save anywhere
- Addition of more save slots
- Removal of item possession amount limits
- Fight specific monsters by accessing their Monster Encyclopedia page
- Ability to skip conversations and view text logs
- New Game+ accessible with cleared save data
This was actually not the first reveal for this remaster. City Connection initially revealed the title in 2022 with a projected release window in 2023. However, there were no further updates for the title until now.

But while the fact sheet was copied straight from the Steam page, there is a correction that the game was originally released on February 25, 2010. 2009 was the year Jaleco first revealed the game project.
