Cladun X3 receives a major update patch that adds more endgame dungeons

Nippon Ichi Software has released a new update patch for Cladun X3 that brings its version up to 1.03. This is a major update that adds many new endgame dungeons with super-high difficulty levels. However, the company also added that this patch is the last one planned for the game.

To summarize the new content added, this major update patch brings in new high-difficulty endgame dungeons, including the Megageon that would appear as the hardest dungeon. Nippon Ichi also added a purchasable option in-game that will also make enemies outside the Megageon much stronger. Playing through these high-difficulty stages will also reward new Artifacts, Magic Circles, and Equipment Titles.

You can find our translations of the new features after the jump right below. Cladun X3 has been available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 in Japan since February 27 this year. An English release for this game has still yet to be confirmed as of this update.

Megageon

Added Megageon as a new Random Dungeon and endgame content with the highest difficulty in X3. Megageon will not end on the 100th floor and will continue looping with the 101st floor and beyond. The highest floor the player reaches will be recorded and sent to a [leaderboard] server.

New Dungeons

  • Further Dungeon: Clearing a certain 16th floor will unlock the Further Dungeon with a total of 16 floors. The content will range from LV500 to LV2000.
  • Additional Dungeons: There are many other additional dungeons besides the above Further Dungeon. One of them will have a super-difficult level even harder than LV9999.

Make Enemies Stronger

Clearing the game's story and the 100th floor of a Random or Map Dungeon will unlock a shop entry where you can pay 999,999 money to make all enemies outside the Megageon much stronger. You can revert this option for free, but will have to pay the full amount once again to activate it again.

While this mode is active, there will be a low chance to obtain 2 of the new super-limit-break Artifacts. The enhancement gates in Map Dungeons will also allow quality improvements for equipment attached with a title of Rank 21 or above.

New Magic Circles

Added 5 new Magic Circles which will be obtainable after fulfilling requirements from the Megageon, Additional Dungeons, or the Make Enemies Stronger option.

New Artifacts

Added 5 new Artifacts for Super Limit Breaks. All of them are obtainable in the Megageon, and 2 of them are also available with the Make Enemies Stronger option.

New Equipment Titles

Added 29 super rare equipment titles that will only be dropped by the following strong monsters:

  • Around 2 of them will drop at high level ranges in regular Random and Map Dungeons
  • Around 10 of them will drop at LV9999 in Random and Map Dungeons with the Make Enemies Stronger option enabled
  • All 29 of them can drop at the Megageon, depending on the enemy's strength values.
