Front Mission 3: Remake launches on June 26 for Nintendo Switch
Forever Entertainment and Megapixel Studio have announced that Front Mission 3: Remake will launch on June 26 for Nintendo Switch, priced at $34.99/€34.99.
Front Mission 3: Remake is the third re-release of the SquareSoft tactical RPG handled by the Polish studio. Both of the previous remakes in the series — Front Mission 1st: Remake and Front Mission 2: Remake — released first for Nintendo Switch, followed by a multiplatform+PC release not-quite-a-year later. While no additional platforms have yet been confirmed for Front Mission 3: Remake, it seems likely that we can expect a multiplatform announcement sometime in the future.
Front Mission 2: Remake, originally released in 2023, was heavily criticized for its English localization when it originally launched (including in our review), but a recent update to the game touts a 'Completely reworked English localization'. Front Mission 3 was originally the first game in the series to see an English localization on the PlayStation 1, so we'll see how its Remake approaches its English dialogue.

Story
Front Mission 3: Remake is a tactical RPG set in a future where nations and corporations compete for dominance in a world shaped by powerful mechs called Wanzers. The game follows two diverging storylines based on an early choice made by the protagonist, Kazuki Takemura. Both narratives focus on a global conspiracy involving secret weapons, corporate greed, and nationalistic agendas.
The game begins with Kazuki and his best friend Ryogo unwittingly becoming embroiled in a military conflict after a routine delivery to a military base. Depending on the player's choice, Kazuki either joins up with his sister Alisa, or with an operative investigating a covert weapon project M.I.D.A.S., Emma Klamsky.
In both routes, themes of loyalty, family, and the ethics of technology are explored as Kazuki and his team fight to uncover the truth and prevent catastrophic consequences.
