Following its announcement during the Arc System Works Showcase that aired last month, Arc System Works has announced that interactive adventure game Dear me, I was... will launch on July 31 for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide.
Dear me, I was... is priced at $7.99 and you can pre-order it right now on the eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 here. It is listed as a 2GB download and is a digital-only game. If you missed the original announcement, Dear me, I was... features Maho Taguchi as the Director, Taisuke Kanasaki as the Art Director, and Ryohei Endo as the Producer. It also features a watercolor aesthetic and uses rotoscoping technology where live action footage was used and the art was traced on top of it frame by frame. The game introduces players to the captivating story of a certain woman. Players will experience the joys, sorrow, and growth of this protagonist through her ordinary and humble life. Witness the story she weaves in a life interconnected with others.
This unique artistic approach brings to life characters of striking realism, promising to deeply touch the hearts of players. The innovative development process combines the expressiveness of watercolor with the fluidity and realism of rotoscoping, delivering an unprecedented visual experience. It is worth noting that the main development of this title was carried out by a predominantly female team.
