Tales of Xillia Remastered announced for October 31 release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC Steam

Bandai Namco Entertainment just announced a remaster of Tales of Xillia set for October 31 release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.

Tales of Xillia Remastered will include DLC and quality of life improvements. In addition to the standard edition, a Tales of Xillia Remastered Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available featuring the Battle BGM Pack, Super Growth Support Herb Set, and a Digital Artbook & Soundtrack in addition to the base game.

The quality of life improvements include a destination icon, the ability to toggle enemy encounters on/off, and original DLC. The full list of DLC included is yet to be revealed. The remaster will also include early access to the Grade Shop like in Tales of Graces f Remastered as revealed in the producer's message.

The Japanese website just went live confirming that Tales of Xillia Remastered will support the following resolutions and frame rates across platforms:

Note that for Nintendo Switch, the docked resolution listed is 1080p with handheld is 720p. For Xbox, Series X is 4K and Series S is 1440p. The frame rates listed are all targets with the website mentioning that it may fluctuate depending on the situation. Note that while the website lists 16:10, it also did for Tales of Graces f Remastered which did not properly support that aspect ratio.

Tales of Xillia Remastered launches on October 31 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam) in the West. The console versions release a day prior in Japan.

In Tales of Xillia Remastered, players will dive into the magnificent world of Rieze Maxia where humans and spirits coexist in harmony.  Players can choose to follow the story of Milla Maxwell, a mysterious woman accompanied by four powerful spirits, or Jude Mathis, and aspiring medical student from the capital. Their paths soon converge as they uncover a dangerous secret: the kingdom of Rashugal is using a weapon that drains mana, threatening the balance of the entire world. Determined to stop the destruction and restore balance, Milla and Jude embark on a daring quest to destroy the device and save their world.

Tales of Xillia Remastered is a remastered version of Tales of Xillia, first released in 2011. The remastered title features notable quality of life enhancements such as auto-save and early access to the Grade Shop. The title also features the Dual Raid Linear Motion Battle System, a real-time combat system that allows players to team up with allies to unleash devastating combo attacks and unlock special support skills to overwhelm foes. Tales of Xillia Remastered also includes downloadable content from the original release, featuring character costumes, bonus items, and other fan-favorite extras.
