Star Trek Online Season 34 launches, with free Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force armor available to earn

The Season 34 update for Star Trek: Online has just launched, and developer Deca Games has detailed an exclusive armor set that players can earn by participating in the update's release event. Titled Star Trek Online: Unleashed, the Season 34 update launched on September 23, 2025 for PC, and will launch on November 11, 2025 for PS4 and Xbox One. The release event runs until October 23, 2025 on PC and December 10, 2025 on consoles.

In a blog post, Deca Games noted that while the Season 34 content update is a permanent addition to the activity and mission lineup of Star Trek Online, players can earn a unique prize by participating in the limited-time release event. By playing selected activities, such as the new story episode or the new cooperative Task Force Operation, players can earn progress that will unlock the unique Elite Hazard Team equipment set for use in ground combat. The set is based on equipment used in Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force, a first-person shooter developed by Raven Software and released in 2000.

The Elite Hazard Team ground equipment set consists of three items: A suit of body armor, a personal shield, and a unique weapon, the Arc Welder. The armor and shield have high levels of protection and increase energy weapon damage when the wearer is affected by control or knock effects. It also boosts energy weapon damage when the wearer aims their weapon, or boosts their run speed when not aiming. The Arc Welder can deal continuous electical damage, and is also based on a weapon from Elite Force.

Earning the set will also unlock a  special Starfleet uniform option based on the Hazard Team uniform seen in Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force.

In addition to the equipment unlock, players who earn enough progress will also receive a stockpile of 30,000 Dilithium Ore. Dilithium is an important in-game currency used to purchase powerful equipment. Players who complete the event progress bar early will continue to earn more dilithium ore for as long as they do event daily tasks. 

Star Trek Online is available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The Unleashed launch event runs from September 23, 2025 on PC and November 11, 2025 on consoles.
