Starsand Island will have Ginger and Gust from My Time at Portia

Seed Lab has formally revealed the crossover content for Starsand Island. Ginger and Gust from My Time at Portia will appear in the new game as regular interactable residents.

The Chinese indie studio is working closely with the fellow compatriot studio Pathea Games to bring the guest characters to the similarly-genred games. Both studios have also published trailers for the crossover on their respective YouTube channels.

As a side note, Pathea's trailer notes that the original voice actors for Ginger and Gust are returning to reprise their roles here. But while My Time at Portia so far only supports English and Chinese voiceovers, Starsand Island also has a Japanese voiceover option. The Japanese version of Seed Lab's trailer thus confirms that there will be new Japanese voiceovers for Ginger and Gust.

You can find both trailers in English right below. Starsand Island will be available for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on February 1, 2026, with the PC version coming to Steam sometime in Q1 of the same year. A demo version of the upcoming game is temporarily available throughout the October 2025 Steam Next Fest until October 21.
