Wandering Sword PS5 edition launches on May 26, 2026

Wuxia-themed RPG Wandering Sword is getting a PS5 release next year. Announced during the November 11, 2025 PlayStation State of Play broadcast, the PS5 edition of Wandering Sword will launch on May 26, 2026. Wandering Sword first launched on PC in September 2023.

Inspited by Chinese wuxia martial arts tales, Wandering Sword casts players as a young swordsman escaping a brush with death and resolving to pursue excellence in martial arts. The game features a combat system that allows players to flip between turn-based and real-time mechanics according to their preference. In his review of Wandering Sword, Adam called the game "exceptionally cohesive," with unique progression and skill systems and an excellent visual style.

The PS5 version of Wandering Sword will launch as a "complete" edition that includes all of the downloadable add-ons released, including the Secrets of the Eastern Sea story expansion, which adds a new adventure set beyond the main storyline. 

Additionally, the complete edition will also feature full voiceover featuring a Japanese cast. The trailer did not confirm if other languages will receive a voiceover, or if the update will be cascaded to the PC version.

Wandering Sword is available on PC, and launches on PS5 on May 26, 2026.
