Touhou: Blossom Blade releases for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on January 22
The 2011 Touhou Project doujin game Youyou Kengeki Musou will get a remaster and English localization titled Touhou: Blossom Blade on January 22. Ankake Spa, the original doujin circle behind the game, will self-publish it on PC via Steam. Phoenixx will also separately help release the same game for Nintendo Switch, with pre-orders slated to open on Nintendo eShop on January 15.
For the record, Ankake Spa originally released physical CDs of the game at Comic Market 81 in late December 2011. Phoenixx describes this game as an action RPG. The player will assume the role of Konpaku Youmu and be tasked to fight the Touhou series protagonist Hakurei Reimu.

Konpaku Youmu works as the gardener, security, and swordsmanship instructor for Saigyouji Yuyuko, mistress of Hakugyokurou.
One day, upon Youmu scolding her mistress for slacking off in her training, Yuyuko told her "with your lack of skill, there won't be any training."
Yuyuko then challenged her to prove herself by defeating the shrine maiden who'd resolved Gensokyo's incidents time and time again:
She was to go and defeat Hakurei Reimu.Youmu wasn't happy with this, but showing awareness of her inexperience, she accepted her mistress's conditions and set off for Gensokyo.
Will she be able to overcome the dangers awaiting her, defeat Reimu, and prove her skills to Yuyuko?
