Opening Movie

Shiravune is pleased to announce that AQUAPLUS’s upcoming new RPG Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered will be arriving on Steam in English this May.

This game is the direct sequel to Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten and a major entry in the Utawarerumono series. Protagonists Oshtor, Munechika, Mikazuchi, and Shunya will embark on a new adventure as a shadow falls over the empire of Yamato once more.

The gameplay is a traditional JRPG featuring an expansive world to explore. It utilizes the Action Ring turn-based battle system and lets the player draw on the series’ iconic Akuruka masks directly in combat. A mix of new heroes and villains and returning Utawarerumono  characters may join or oppose the protagonists over the course of the story.

As of January 29th, the game is now available for wishlisting on Steam!

Introduction

Long, long ago, in the distant past... or was it in the far-off future?

The mighty empire of Yamato exists at peace under the rule of its god incarnate the Mikado.

Oshtor, Mikazuchi, Munechika, and Shunya have been hailed as heroes ever since they repelled an invasion out of long-lost Arva Shulan.

Yet once more, a shadow falls over the nation.

Monster rise in every corner of the land, and disconnected incidents spiral towards one conclusion while old comrades triangulate a response.

As their journey begins anew, they have no way of knowing—what awaits them is sung about only in legends.
Somewhere, white mists still cloud a cradle—but a long, light slumber is about to end.
