Punishing: Gray Raven is now available on Steam
Kuro Games has released a Steam version of Punishing: Gray Raven. The free-to-play game has been available on mobile since 2021, and a standalone PC client was also released in May 2023, but this Steam client allows a much easier installation for regular users of the platform.
Take note, however, that the server you get from the Steam client will depend on your account's region and language. While Punishing: Gray Raven supports cross-platform save and sync, the server region must be the same if you already have an account in other platforms.
You can find the official Steam screenshots and a copy of the Q&A segment right below. The Steam release of Punishing: Gray Raven fully supports Japanese and English with voiceovers, along with additional subtitles in Korean and Traditional Chinese.

Korean: 퍼니싱: 그레이 레이븐
Q: Does the Punishing: Gray Raven Steam version also have separate regional game versions based on language, similar to its server and client distinctions?
A: The Steam version of Punishing: Gray Raven will similarly differentiate servers by language. The game version downloaded from the Steam store will be determined based on the region of your Steam account and the language you use.
Please ensure that the region and preferred language of your Steam account match the game version you wish to download before proceeding.
(For example: If you wish to download the Japanese version of the game, you need to use a Steam account with Japan as the download region and Japanese as the account language. In this case, the Steam store page will also display in Japanese.)
Q: Is the Steam version interoperable with other platforms? Can I log in with my existing account and sync my game progress?
A: The Steam version of Punishing: Gray Raven supports cross-platform account interoperability with other platforms. Character information and game progress will be synchronized for accounts on the same server.
If you already have a Punishing: Gray Raven account, you can log in using your original method after downloading the corresponding language version of the game.
Q: Will the game version and events in the Steam version be consistent with those on other platforms?
A: Yes, they will be consistent. For specific details, please follow in-game announcements and social media updates.
Q: What are the similarities and differences between the Steam version and the PC version?
A:
Login: The Steam version retains all existing PC login methods and adds Steam account login support.
Recharge: Unlike the PC version, recharges in the Steam version are processed through Steam. The tiered pricing for in-game currency in the Steam version remains the same as in the PC version.
Account Information Synchronization: The Steam version supports cross-platform synchronization of account data with both the PC and mobile versions.
Steam Community Hub Feature: The Steam store page includes community features, allowing you to interact with commandants from other servers in the Punishing: Gray Raven Steam community.
Q: Will there be performance optimizations for the Steam version upon release?
A: We will continue to optimize the PC and Steam versions across various aspects, including control methods, controller support, and graphical performance. Commandants can look forward to future updates.
Q: Why do the official website and social media links displayed on the Steam store page lead to the English versions?
A: The content displayed and available for download on the store page will depend on your choice of region and language in your Steam settings.
That being said, due to Steam’s system restrictions, the links for the official website, social media, player forums, etc. (e.g., X, Facebook, YouTube, Discord, Reddit) shown on store pages across all regions will point to the English versions of these sites.
