Goddess of Victory: NIKKE crosses over with Lycoris Recoil anime series on February 12

Shift Up's free-to-play game Goddess of Victory: NIKKE will launch its next crossover event on February 12, 2026, this time adding new playable characters based on anime series Lycoris Recoil. First aired in July 2022, Lycoris Recoil focuses on Takina and Chisato, two young orphans who work as "Lycoris," secret government-sponsored female assassins disguised as high school students.

Shift Up promoted the event with a trailer:

The trailer shows off the three Lycoris Recoil characters Takina, Chisato, and Kurumi being drawn into the world of NIKKE and interacting with the game's Cafe Sweety squad, which consists of Nikkes Sugar, Frima, and Milk.

The event, which is formally titled "Lie, Cause, Recoil," will feature a bespoke campaign map based on the appearance of the anime's titular LycoReco cafe. Takina will join the playable roster as an SSR Sniper Rifle unit, while Chisato is an SSR Submachine Gun unit. Both protagonists will be available through the in-game gacha system, while Kurumi (an SR Assault Rifle unit) can be claimed for free by players participating in the event. Besides the new units, Lie, Cause, Recoil will also add new cosmetic skins for Takina and Chisato, putting them in band outfits. The in-game costume gacha will also feature a LycoReco-inspired cafe outfit for Mast.

Beyond the crossover event, the NIKKE update will also bring improvements to the core game activities, like adding more Favorite Items to further upgrade the Nikkes Centi, Privaty, Moran, and Zwei, as well as new main story campaign missions that build on the events of the 3rd anniversary storyline and previous chapters.

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is available on PC, iOS, and Android. The Lycoris Recoil crossover event launches on February 12, 2026.
