WiZmans World Re;Try now available for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC

Clear River Games, Gravity, and City Connection have announced that WiZmans World Re;Try is now available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam). The game is priced at $24.99, with a 10% launch discount until March 4.

Note that the PlayStation and Switch versions are published by Clear River Games, while the Xbox and Steam versions are published by Gravity.

WiZmans World Re;Try is a remaster of WiZmans World, a 2010 DS game developed by Jaleco Entertainment that was never released outside of Japan. The remaster has been in the works for a while, released in Japan back in 2024, with localization plans stated at the time. With today's remaster release, the game is now available in English for the first time.

Originally a 2010 Japan-exclusive for the Nintendo DS, WiZmans World Re;Try marks the first time players worldwide can experience the dark, tactical journey of the wizard Claus in high definition. With enhanced 2D pixel art and significant quality-of-life improvements, WiZmans World Re;Try is a dark, alchemic JRPG that bridges the gap between retro charm and modern gameplay.

Set in the isolated city of Wizarest, a town trapped in a century-old mystery and surrounded by shifting, monster-infested dungeons, bold adventurers step into the shoes of a young wizard, Claus. Following the disappearance of his mentor, Giselle, it’s up to Claus and his trio of homunculus companions to uncover the secrets of the dungeon and the shroud of mystery around the forgotten city.

As you venture through the twists and turns of the dungeons you’ll encounter monsters who, if defeated, can have their souls absorbed by your homunculi companions through “Anima Fusion”, thus evolving their stats, abilities and appearance. How you advance through WiZmans World Re;Try affects your companions, the storyline and even the fate of the world.
