Pokemon Presents broadcast confirmed airing on the 30th anniversary Pokemon Day
The Pokemon Company has confirmed that they will hold a new Pokemon Presents broadcast right on the series' 30th anniversary this year next week, on Friday, February 27. The broadcast will launch simultaneously worldwide at 06:00 AM PST or 09:00 AM EST for the Americas, or 23:00 JST in Japan's time zone.
This broadcast is scheduled to run for around 25 minutes. It is expected to include reveals of non-console game stuff like mobile apps, animated shows, and the physical trading card game. However, there has been a high anticipation for the reveal of new mainline generation entries at this anniversary milestone.
For the record, the 7th-generation entries Pokemon Sun and Moon were revealed around the same time in the 20th anniversary year, and released later within the same year in November 2016. The 4th-generation Pokemon Diamond & Pearl were also technically part of the 10th-anniversary celebrations, as they first came out in Japan in September 2006.
To start the major anniversary celebrations, the company had also first revealed the Nintendo Switch ports and Nintendo Music additions of Pokemon FireRed & LeafGreen, the 2004 Game Boy Advance remakes of the inaugural Japanese Game Boy releases of Pokemon Red & Green. We can now expect the upcoming Pokemon Presents to feature titles other than these.
