Dragon Quest Builders for Nintendo Switch has gotten its first-ever update with version 1.0.1 out now

Nintendo and Square Enix have released the first Dragon Quest Builders Nintendo Switch patch on March 17 or 18 depending on your timezone.

This is the game's first update for Switch in the West following its launch back in 2018. Note that Nintendo still has the game marked as unsupported on Switch 2 backward compatibility because of problems found with game progression. It is unclear if this update addresses those issues or not, but the eShop page will not let you buy the game on Switch 2 directly right now. I will be testing this in the coming days when I update my feature covering the best RPGs to play via handheld boost mode on Switch 2.

Dragon Quest Builders is now available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS Vita, iOS, Android, and PC (Steam).
