Star Trek Online celebrates Star Trek: Enterprise anniversary with premium ship bundle
Developer Cryptic Studios closed out the 16th Anniversary event for MMORPG Star Trek: Online with the release of a large premium starship bundle players can purchase. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Star Trek: Enterprise TV series (which debuted in 2001) and the 60th anniversary of the Star Trek franchise overall, the bundle contains playable starships from based on designs seen in Star Trek: Enterprise TV series, which debuted in 2001.
To promote the bundle release, Cryptic uploaded a lengthy in-fiction documentary video outlining the history and exploits of the four newest ships in the bundle: The Vulcan Suurok-class Science Destroyer, the Andorian Kumari-class Pilot Light Battlecruiser, the United Earth NP-class Miracle Worker Light Escort, and the United Earth NV-class Multi-Mission Temporal Cruiser.

Each of the four new ships in the bundle has a default design based on the ship's appearance in Star Trek: Enterprise, but also includes free cosmetic skin options that evoke different, later periods of Star Trek ship design, in case players want to fly something less vintage-looking in-game.
The NP-class Light Escort is based on an unnamed ship design seen in the show, but informally called the "Warp Delta" due to the shape of its hull. In-game, the ship is framed as an escort vessel designed to safeguard United Earth's fledgling trade and colonial efforts from pirates. It includes a 25th-century skin option that brings its style in line with Star Trek Online's contemporary aesthetic.
The United Earth NV-class Multi-Mission cruiser is based on the Intrepid, an allied ship of the NX-01 Enterprise that's something of a fan favorite due to its unusual saucer design and overlapping warp nacelles. The NV-class can also deploy Enterprise-era shuttlepod small craft as hangar pets. The NV-class also has an alternate skin option based on the aesthetic of the "Lost Era," the time period set between the end of the original Star Trek series (and their associated feature films) and the launch of Star Trek: The Next Generation (i.e. Picard's time). It's also cross-compatible with the existing Okinawa-class Pilot Raider ship, adding three more skin options for players that own the other ship.
The Vulcan Suurok-class Science Destroyer is based on the Vulcan High Command ship class of the same name. It can switch between two modes to emphasize its weapon systems or exotic science-based abilities. It's also got a couple of alternative skin options: One that makes it look like a 25th-century Starfleet ship, and another that uses the same deep red coloration as Vulcan ships seen in the Lower Decks animated series.
The Andorian Kumari-class Light Battlecruiser is based on the Andorian warships commanded by Shran throughout Enterprise. It shares cross-compatibility with six other Andorian ship models released in STO over the years, though players will need to own the associated ships to unlock them. It adds a 25th-century Starfleet skin, as well as the "Stalking Makras" skin that features aggressive hull art.
All four ships are available separately via the in-game C-Store, though buyers of the full 16th Anniversary bundle will gain extra goodies, including additional ship slots, upgrade tokens, lock box keys, an exclusive Enterprise-era environmental suit and ground weapon set, and account-level unlocks for two existing ships: The NX-class (i.e. the Enterprise), its unfilmed refitted version, and the Xindi-Primate Ateleth Dreadnought, an alien ship from Season 3 of the show.
Star Trek Online is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
