Culdcept Begins early purchase bonuses revealed for physical and digital releases

Clear River Games has revealed the early purchase bonuses for Culdcept Begins on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.

Culdcept Begins will feature exclusive book covers, characters, and more depending on the format and region. It launches on July 16 for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch with a PC (Steam) release set for this year.

Neos Corporation is pleased to announce the Early Purchase Bonuses for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch title, Culdcept Begins (hereinafter "the game"), scheduled for release on July 16, 2026.

Four Luxurios "Early Purchase Bonus DLCs" for Cepters Old and New

The "Culdcept" series first began in 1997. To help you dive deeper into this first all-new title in 10 years, we have prepared four types of downloadable content (DLC) for use in the game. These bonuses—including iconic characters from the series' history and exclusive book covers—allow players to truly feel the legacy of the franchise.

Early Purchase Bonus DLC

1. "Zeneth" newly illustrated by Satoshi Matsuura

Zeneth of the Dragon Eye is the iconic character who has appeared in every single title in the series. For this special bonus, the game’s lead designer, Satoshi Matsuura, has created a brand-new illustration. Players can select Zeneth as a COM opponent or use him as their own in-game avatar.

2. "Najaran" newly illustrated by Satoshi Matsuura

Najaran, the protagonist of the Culdcept manga series, makes her appearance in Culdcept Begins. Just like Zeneth, she has been specially redesigned and illustrated by Satoshi Matsuura for this bonus. She is available both as a COM opponent and as a playable avatar.

3. Book Cover: "Culdra (1st Edition)"

Culdra is the goddess who created the world of Culdcept. This special book cover features the original main visual from the very first Culdcept title, illustrated by renowned sci-fi artist Naoyuki Kato. This design can be used to customize the covers of your in-game Books (decks).

4. Book Cover: "The Four Gods" (EU Exclusive Design) / "Iksear" (North America Exclusive Design)

The EU-exclusive custom book cover design, “The Four Gods,” is a special design that incorporates “神々の邂逅,” an artwork originally created by the renowned Japanese sci-fi artist Naoyuki Kato for the Sega Saturn version. The North America-exclusive design is a brand-new illustration of the God of Water, “Iksear,” created specifically for this title. These designs can be used to customize your Books (decks) within the game.
