Dragon Quest 40th anniversary 'Update from the Dragon Quest Team' stream set for May 27

Square Enix has announced a new Dragon Quest 'Update from the Dragon Quest Team' stream set for May 27 at 6 AM PST.

May 27 will be the 40th anniversary of Dragon Quest. Square Enix will celebrate it with an update from the team on YouTube. While no game details or announcement details have been revealed for this stream, Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii teased that the a stream would be held on May 27 to announce the next game. Thanks to Gematsu for the heads up. A Switch 2 rating for Dragon Quest XI S also appeared last month in Taiwan. It could potentially be at this event, but nothing has been announced yet. Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate was announced back on May 27, 2021. It has not received any major update or news since. It is the next numbered Dragon Quest game in development.
