Dragon Quest X beta for Wii U launches in February

As previously announced, the beta for Dragon Quest X on the Wii U will hit the platform early next year. Nintendo and Square Enix have now narrowed down a more concrete date.

Set to launch in February 2013, the DQX beta will be included with Premium Editions of the Wii U hardware bundles. The Wii U version of the game is said to include upgraded visuals, as well as support for the Wii U GamePad, among other things.

Wii and Wii U players will also be sharing the same severs, so players have the ability to swap character content between each version.

The team is also hard at work developing new content for the game, including furniture creation, character editing, and the ability to create auto parties.

The Wii version of Dragon Quest X has already seen its release in Japan. Further plans for a western version have not been announced at this time.
