Aniimo launches in Q3 2026, global closed beta revealed in new trailer
Publisher Kingsglory and developer Pawprint Studio have announced that Aniimo, the free-to-play open-world creature-catching RPG, will launch in Q3 2026.
A global closed beta test has also been announced. You can sing up for it here. Aniimo was announced last year during Summer Game Fest, and it has since had a follow-up trailer appearing during Tokyo Game Show and its most recent trailer during The Game Awards 2025. Aniimo is in development for release this year on Xbox, PS5, PC, iOS, and Android.

Pawprint Studio announced that creature-catching open-world RPG Aniimo is slated to launch in Q3 2026, as revealed in a new gameplay trailer debuted during Future Games Show. The developer also teased their latest Global Closed Beta Test, which will take place this summer for PC (including via Steam) and mobile (iOS and Android). Players can sign up now at aniimo.com for a chance to gain access to the beta.
Today’s gameplay trailer also included looks at key features and new content that will be available to players during Global Closed Beta:
- Explore Aniimo’s expansive open world
- Pathfinders that twine with their Aniimo can battle, move, and explore the world of Idyll through the unique lens of the Aniimo they have twined with.
- Players who twine can immerse themselves in the Aniimo society - experiencing everyday exchanges and habits that the Aniimo have developed amongst themselves.
- New Aniimo
- New Aniimo introduced include Bubbeep, Popapus, Mophling, and Sausite.
- New Aniimo forms
- Pathfinders can encounter new Aniimo forms including Budsquire, Thornblade, and more.
- New features in Astra
- Pathfinders can now access certain stores to purchase new accessories.
- New decorative buildings have been implemented including a blind box and clothing store.
- Home-building
- The Homeland, which can be accessed via players’ RV moving base, will now feature more customization options and Aniimo-themed decorations.
- New region
- A new water themed region, the Island of Peace, will be accessible for the first time.
- PvP and co-op gameplay
- Diamond Egg Heist (PvP)
- Up to six teams of three Pathfinders compete to be the first to twine with the diamond egg. Once a player twines with the egg, cooperation will be key to victory as the other team members protect and safely escort the egg to safety.
- Pathfinders can team up and take on the new boss challenges that await them: Bubbask and Coraliz.
- Aniimo exchange
- Pathfinders now have the ability to exchange Aniimo with each other.
