1994 PC-9801 The Legend of Heroes III: White Witch Renewal is coming to Switch via EGG Console on August 20
D4 Enterprise is spotted preparing to release a new EGG Console port for Nintendo Switch digitally worldwide based on the 1994 PC-9801 Renewal edition of The Legend of Heroes III: White Witch. The company has also prepared a US Nintendo Store page link for this port, but this is not expected to be live until they have actually released the port next week on August 20.
This 3rd overall iteration in The Legend of Heroes series was also the original first entry in the Gagharv trilogy, which ran until the 5th iteration. Although its 2004 PSP version had a localization released for North America in 2006, the localization jumbled up the numbering by renaming this entry to The Legend of Heroes II: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch. (As a refresher, TLoH IV was localized into The Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion, and TLoH V became The Legend of Heroes III: Song of the Ocean)

This is a role-playing game released in Japan by Nihon Falcom in 1994. Based on the original "The Legend of Heroes III," the system and game balance were improved, thus giving the title its "Renewal" subtitle.
The player controls two characters: Julio, a timid boy, and Chris, the heroine. Tthey set off on a pilgrimage for the ceremony. Along the way, they will become drawn to the mystery of the “White Witch.”
The game uses a top-down view with random encounters and auto-battle, making it easy and intuitive to play. However, in the early stages, you'll have few party members, which may lead to some tough battles. If that happens, try adjusting the battle settings in the command menu.
As expected from Falcom, the game delivers an epic story, humorous skits, and classic RPG fun. The prologue and Chapter 1 alone exceed the volume of the previous title, with the full adventure spanning nine chapters.
This entry begins the second phase of the Legend of Heroes series, the Gagharv Trilogy. It shares a connected world with The Legend of Heroes IV: A Tear of Vermillion and The Legend of Heroes V: Song of the Ocean.
