Rune Factory 4 European release cancelled

Earlier today, Marvelous AQL announced that Rune Factory 4, the newest entry in the Action RPG/Farming sim series, will not be seeing the light of day in Europe.

After its developer, Neverland, filed for bankruptcy last year, everything that the team had planned was up in the air. The publisher cited being unable to secure a release for the territory. They do, howver, still look to release Rune Factory 5 in the future, so that title may have a chance of appearing in the West.

Now, if only Nintendo would get a clue and remove region locking, this wouldn't be such a big deal.
