The Japanese Disgaea Refine 15th anniversary edition is priced at around $1400
Nippon Ichi Software has today formally opened the Disgaea Refine official site in Japan and posted some screenshots for this remaster of the first Disgaea game. At the same time, the Japanese gaming media Famitsu has also announced a specific Japanese limited edition that will come with an extraordinary price.
While limited editions usually cost somewhere around 10,000 yen or $100, Enterbrain's online shopping site ebten reveals a Famitsu DX Pack The 15th Anniversary Edition of Disgaea Refine which is priced at 150,000 yen "because it's the 15th anniversary." With the current exchange rate, this would be priced at around US$ 1,400.
The main draw of this pack is that it includes a special illustration for celebrating Disgaea's 15th anniversary, which is laser-carved onto an A3-sized crystal board. It also comes with a pedestal that can emit LED light to the crystal. You will be able to see an example image of crystal board along with the illustration used further down.
The 15th Anniversary Edition package will be available separately for PS4 and Switch versions. Other than the game copy and the crystal board, this package will also come with the following items included in the ordinary, more reasonably priced Famitsu DX Pack
- B2-sized tapestry
- Disgaea series 15th-anniversary postcard book
- Original microfiber cloth
- Acrylic keyholder of Laharl
Disgaea Refine will be released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on July 26. It is currently not known yet if this will also get a Western release or not.
