Nintendo has announced that they have partnered with Cygames (Granblue Fantasy) to release a new mobile RPG titled Dragalia Lost. The game is said to be an action RPG with plans for a worldwide release, starting in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau this summer.
Additionally, Nintendo will obtain a portion of Cygame's issued stocks, with the details given in the press release below.
A key art for the project has been shared, and we'll have to stay tuned for more information.
1. Context of Partnership
In summer of 2018, Nintendo will release Dragalia Lost, an all-new original action RPG application designed by Cygames for smart devices. Nintendo has been co-developing and will jointly operate the game with Cygames, bringing to life the shared vision of a new gaming experience with worldwide appeal.
The gaming application will be released globally, starting with Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. With the support of Nintendo’s group companies, it will launch in North America and Europe as well. For the purpose of facilitating the partnership, Nintendo will obtain approximately 5 percent of Cygames’s issued stocks mainly through a third party allocation of its treasury stock.
Update: Dragalia Lost's official website has opened, and a debut trailer has been released. The game will be free to play with in-app purchases. A pre-registration campaign in Japan will give participants 1500 Dragon Crystals, which can be used for 10 summons.
