God Wars: The Complete Legend for Nintendo Switch launches September 4 in North America, August 31 in Europe

NIS America has announced that God Wars: The Complete Legend will release for Nintendo Switch on August 31 in Europe and September 4 in North America. The publisher also released a new overview trailer for the strategy RPG.

The Complete Legend (Nintendo Switch) is a re-release of last year's God Wars: Future Past (PlayStation 4 and Vita), featuring:

  • A new story expansion titled "The Legend of Yomi", which was previously released as DLC for the PlayStation 4 and Vita version of God Wars in Japan. Additionally, some characters that were not playable in the original game, such as Momotaro, will now be playable. For those who own the English version of God Wars: Future Past on a PlayStation system, this expansion will be available as DLC when The Complete Legend launches this fall.
  • New story content relating to a new character - Orihime - exclusive to the Complete Legend release. [Note: See below update]
  • Several quality-of-life updates will also be made to the game, such as increased battle speed. These are stated to be available in both The Complete Legend and as a downloadable update to the PlayStation 4/Vita versions of God Wars: Future Past.

UPDATE: NIS America has informed us that they will be offering all the content of the re-release as DLC for PlayStation versions of the game, including content involving Orihime.

Note: God Wars: The Complete Legend is getting a new complete release in Japan for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, but the English release will be Nintendo Switch only. You can find the announcement information here
