Bandai Namco has published another information batch for God Eater 3 at the latest Weekly Famitsu magazine issue, which introduces another story character and also the background of the 8-player Assault Missions. We have compiled the information which you can read after the jump.

The old gentleman that was first spotted at the third official trailer is known as Abraham Gadlin, the supreme commander of Gleipnir. He used to be a God Eater who led the Gleipnir unit when it was still under the jurisdiction of the Fenrir headquarters in the past. This is evident from a sealed God Eater gauntlet resting on his right arm. Abraham is also revealed to be voiced in Japanese by Unsho Ishizuka - who had already passed away last August, making this role a posthumous work of the latter.

This batch then goes in-depth with the background of Assault Missions. It starts by introducing Adaptive Aragami, another new type of evolved Aragami that can match against AGEs (Adaptive God Eaters). They only live inside high-concentration Ashlands such as Ashstorms, and even their mere existences can rile up surrounding Ashlands.

A new Aragami species, Navado Nuadha, is introduced as an example of Adaptive Aragami. It is an advanced version of the Ashborn Aragami Nuadha which has fully adapted to the Ashlands. Just like the original species, Navado Nuadha can perform Predator attacks on players. If it hits a player, it will activate Burst mode where lightning comes out from its right arm, allowing it to launch very painful thunder attacks.

To combat against such a powerful Adaptive Aragami, Assault Missions are issued. These are special missions where 8 God Eaters cooperate to fight against an Adaptive Aragami which has suddenly appeared. But these missions have a very short time limit with only five minutes because players have to get into Ashstorms with a very high concentration of ashes, so they cannot stay in the area for long.

When the 5-minute time limit is up, players will retreat instead of failing the mission, so they will still be able to obtain a fewer amount of rewards if they don't succeed. Another merit of joining Assault Missions is that players can accumulate EP (Engage Points) which can unlock new Engage effects for the player to choose.

Those who have a Japanese PSN account will be able to try out an Assault Mission against Navado Nuadha on the last 2 days of the limited action beta demo, from October 20 to 21. The full release of God Eater 3 is coming out first for PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 13, while the international release, as well as the PC Steam version, will be out later in early 2019.
