During today's Japanese Nintendo Direct Mini - published at the same time as the Western reveals, Spike Chunsoft revealed that Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate will be released for Nintendo Switch in 2020.
Although the base fifth title of Shiren the Wanderer series was first released for Nintendo DS in 2010 in Japan, Nintendo's Japanese official website confirmed that this game will be based on Shiren the Wanderer 5+ that was released in June 2015 for another platform (namely the PlayStation Vita).
The Switch release will include dungeons that were added separately post-release in Vita so that players can enjoy playing in over 25 dungeons. In addition to that, Spike Chunsoft will also add a brand-new original dungeon in this new release.
You can find the Japanese reveal trailer and screenshots for the Switch release of Shiren the Wanderer 5+ right below. As this game was not included in the Western Nintendo Direct Mini, the English localization has yet to be officially confirmed. However, it is worth noting that the PlayStation Vita version did receive a Western localization in July 2016.
