Pokemon Legends Arceus Misdreavus Location: where to catch & how to evolve to Mismagius

Misdreavus is one of the later-game ghost-type Pokemon that makes an appearance in Pokemon Legends Arceus, and it can be easily missed as you work your way through the main story of the game. Lucky for you, we've got the Misdreavus location listed right here so you know where to catch one.

Misdreavus spawns in a couple of the zones of the game, but can only be caught under certain circumstances and is a little on the uncommon side until you know exactly where to look, similar to the likes of Hisuian Growlithe, Combee, Cherrim, and the painfully elusive Munchlax. It's likely you'll want to catch one for the Misdreavus the Hairstyle Muse request - and this page explains exactly where to find one.

Where to catch Misdreavus in Pokemon Legends Arceus

Of the base-form Ghost-type Pokemon in the game, Misdreavus is arguably one of the less common ones - in our initial play-through, we didn't come across one until late in the post-game, despite passing through and hanging out in a lot of the areas that are Misdreavus locations where you can catch them.

Part of that is because Misdreavus is far more likely to spawn at night, given its ghostly nature - so to start with, whichever of these areas you proceed to, make sure that it is night time by resting at the nearest camp. For the majority of the catching spots for Misdreavus, that'll be the Summit Camp of the Coronet Highlands.

Coronet Highlands: Stonetooth Rows, Sacred Plaza, Celestica Ruins
Alabaster Icelands: Bonechill Wastes

Misdreavus is an aggressive Pokemon, so if it catches sight of you it'll attack - but it's also weaker, so if you're in the late game, you need to be careful not to accidentally knock it out. With that said, if you can effectively hide from it, Misdreavus can easily be caught even without catching it completely unaware with an Ultra Ball or even Great Ball without having to battle at all.

How to Evolve Misdreavus into Mismagius

Mismagius can be either evolved from Midreavus, or caught in the wild itself.

Misdrevus evolves into Mismagius, whcih takes this more cute ghost Pokemon and makes it much larger and really leans into that whole witch vibe. Misdreavus is one of the Pokemon that evolves through the Evolution Stone methods, so all you need to do is expose Misdreavus to the Dusk Stone at any time to evolve it into Mismagius - no level requirement or anything like that.

Keep in mind that the dusk stone is a one-shot use - so if you want to evolve multiple Misdreavus for some reason or want to use a Dusk Stone to evolve Murkrow to Honchkrow, you'll need to secure a second. If you just want to catch a Mismagius instead, it spawns as an Alpha in the Stonetooth Rows area of the Highlands.

Evolution stones like the Dusk Stone can be purchased from the Merit Points Exchange with the MP earned from returning lost satchels, or you can find them as common drops inside Space-Time Distortions.

You can also get one Dusk Stone for returning 30 wisps in the, which you can do with the help of our Eerie Apparitions of the Night quest Wisp Location guide. Sadly, unlike some stones, there's no Dusk Stone reward for completing any of the other Legends Arceus requests.
