The Evil King and the Splendid Hero shows examples of side stories
Nippon Ichi Software publishes more details for The Evil King and the Splendid Hero by providing some examples of characters featured in the side story requests. The game's protagonist Yuu will encounter other characters who can give side requests as part of her training to become a full-fledged hero.
Nathan is a lizard who likes to eat very much but also has a very cheerful personality with a tendency to make jokes, such as teasing to eat the Yuu herself. Due to a weak body, Nathan has to be confined into a chair while Harry the hedgehog handles all the mobile things. They will ask Yuu to find and deliver a legendary gourmet for Nathan.
Cues is a strong gatekeeper of the Wolf tribe. While he is confident in his physical strength, he is not really good at thinking. One day, Cues took a bottle containing an unintelligible message that's dropped in the forest. Although he looks down on humans and refuses to call them by their personal names, he will ask Yuu to prepare a reply after having someone else decipher the message.
Nippon Ichi also teased more request stories related to other species tribes, such as a hedgehog tribe busy preparing for a festival and a massive quarrel between the sheep and wolf tribes. The publisher has previously released details on the RPG's gameplay system and party characters who can accompany the protagonist Yuu.
The Evil King and the Splendid Hero will be released in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on June 24. An English localization has yet to be announced for this new game from the creators of The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince.
