Shin Megami Tensei V highlights factions and narrative in latest Story Trailer

Atlus has released a new trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V, highlighting friends, factions, and otherworldly conflict in the upcoming RPG.

You can take a look at the trailer below in Japanese or English.

In a world without its Creator, the Nahobino must decide what is worth saving... and what must be sacrificed in return.

When the time comes, will you be ready to choose your path?

The trailer shows several new characters not seen before in the game. There's a female classmate of the protagonist who seems to be aware of Tokyo's impending transformation and looks to play a key role in the story. There's a boy in glasses who seems to support a faction known as the Bethel of Japan, which states a desire to 'defend Tokyo' and 'protect the people's peace'. There's also a blond boy in a baseball cap who laments about underestimating 'the whole fighting thing', and several other characters make brief appearances as well.

There are also several new and familiar demons shown, as well as a variety of environments from indoor areas, canyons, swamps and more. We also get numerous lines of dialogue referring to an ongoing conflict between 'God and his cronies', demons, and the like. We see glimpses of Lucifer and several other demons besides.

Shin Megami Tensei V is set to release for Nintendo Switch on November 12 worldwide. For more, you can check out:
