Megaton Musashi: Wired digital pre-orders open on PS4 and PS5, early purchase bonus also announced

Level-5 has updated the official website for Megaton Musashi: Wired while revealing that they have opened digital pre-orders for PlayStation 5 and 4 versions of the game via PlayStation Store. Players who purchase the game's Deluxe Edition, which is priced at $69.99, will also receive Early Access for a week ahead of release on April 22.

A new webpage on the site also reveals a bonus for early purchases, which will be the samurai-styled Limited edition Rogue: Yatabushi. Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch version will be available later on April 11, while the PC version has no pre-order session before it is actually released on Steam on April 29. But regardless of where you purchase the digital-exclusive game, the Yatabushi will be available if you have bought the game by May 31. You should also be able to carry over the unit to other platforms even if you make late purchases, as this game will support cross-save.

Wired will be the first title in the Megaton Musashi series to be available worldwide, but players outside Japan do not have to worry about missing story content as this game will include all episodes covered in prior entries. In fact, Wired will have brand-new episodes that continue the story past both Megaton Musashi Cross and the anime's second season. However, while Cross was somehow released as a free-to-play game, Wired will be available as a regular purchase game, albeit digital-only—unlike the first game which had physical releases.

Wired will retain most if not all content from Cross, and that will also include crossover units from renowned super robot anime shows. That means players worldwide will be able to turn their units into Getter Robo, Mazinger Z, Grendizer, Combattler V, and Voltes V.

Megaton Musashi: Wired will be available digitally worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on April 29. Level-5 also revealed that the franchise's anime show will be available worldwide via Crunchyroll.
