G-Mode ports the 2008 Japanese feature phone RPG Maou ga Ochiru Hi II to Nintendo Switch in Japan

G-Mode has released a G-Mode Archives port of Maou ga Ochiru Hi II to Nintendo Switch. Jaleco's 2008 feature phone RPG—the Japanese title of which can be translated to "The Day the Demon King Falls II"—is now available on the Japanese Nintendo eShop at 1,000 yen, with a 20% launch discounted price of 800 yen until September 14.

This new port follows the previous release of the first Maou ga Ochiru Hi game. The first one came out for Japanese feature phones in 2005, and G-Mode had also released its Switch port in 2021 in Japan.

Both games in the series offer a similar basic premise: The Demon King is prophesied to descend and annihilate humanity in a year, and the protagonist must build the strongest party in 12 monthly turns to confront the villain. The games also have over a hundred events and multiple endings, with the quickest one achievable in just 5 minutes.

The sequel distinguishes itself from the first game by having a female protagonist in Sophitia, as opposed to the male protagonist in the first game. In addition, it also has over 1.5x more content than the previous one.

You can find the official trailer and screenshots of the Maou ga Ochiru Hi II port fight below. This game is only available in the Japanese language.
