1986 PC-8801 version of Miracle Warriors: Seal of the Dark Lord gets a Nintendo Switch EGG Console port
D4 Enterprise has released a new EGG Console port of Hajya no Fuuin for Nintendo Switch. This is based on the inaugural 1986 PC-8801 release of the game, which would later be made available worldwide via Sega Master System in 1988 as Miracle Warriors: Seal of the Dark Lord.
As a note, Sega Master System was and is still the only platform that contains an English localization for this game. D4 Enterprise has also previously released Project EGG ports of the same game for modern Windows PCs based on the PC-8801, FM-7, X1, MSX, FC (NES), and MarkIII—the latter being the Japanese version of Sega Master System. However, there are still no words of an official port for the English release yet.
You can find screenshots and descriptions of the PC-8801 Switch port of Hajya no Fuuin right below. Even though this port is available worldwide—including in the US Nintendo eShop at $6.49—it only supports the Japanese language.
A gripping otherworldly RPG! Descendant of the hero Iason, unravel the mystery of the “Seal of the Dark Lord” with allies scattered across the world and restore peace!
This 1986 fantasy RPG by KOGADO STUDIO is a representative early work. Popular for authentic field-based party play, its unique world earned it the “interdimensional software” moniker. Complex monster lore, intricate history, and a “Completion Certificate” campaign captivated users.
This game’s biggest highlight is its high difficulty, which requires not only growth through combat but also listening to many people and solving numerous mysteries. You’ll converse with townsfolk and those on the field, and later even monsters. Carefully heeding their advice will be a significant aid to clearing the game.
Gathering information with companions and solving mysteries to save the world—this is a true old-school RPG. An indispensable title for discussing classic Japanese RPGs.
