Persona 5: The Phantom X version 2.5 update adds Masaki "Cherish" Ashiya and Tycoon card game
Atlus has released a new update patch for the Japanese and Global English releases of Persona 5: The Phantom X that brings the game's version up to 2.5. Some of the highlights of this update are the inclusion of Masaki "Cherish" Ashiya as a new recruitable party member and the addition of the Tycoon card game, the latter of which had also appeared in Persona 5 Royal.
For an additional tidbit, Cherish is also one of the characters slated to be eventually added to the permanent regular gacha banner. But unlike the East Asian servers, Sega and Atlus will only do that 6 months later (with a re-run also planned roughly in the middle of the between).
Another highlight in this version 2.5 update is the addition of Synergy episodes that feature Miyu Sahara. Proceeding through her interactions will gradually unlock new purchasable gifts that are also liked by all available confidants. This new update is notable since Miyu's Synergy gets added later than the prior East Asian releases, where she appeared before Kira Kitazato's synergy (which appeared in the global releases in version 2.2).
The other noteworthy permanent additions in this update are the new City Life episode starring Tetsunojo Shishida in Shinjuku, 10 new Technician stages in the Velvet Trials, and 3 new Rank VIII Personas: Vishnu, Shiva, and Sandalphon. The latter Personas will be available by spending Repression Medals IV that are rewarded from Trials of the Sea of Souls.
A summary of the new content updates is available in the archived stream below. Note that this stream also includes details about the next Version 2.6 update on December 6, which will notably add Haru "Noir" Okumura and a new episode in the Persona 5 crossover story. The Southeast Asian server is expected to get these updates roughly a week later than the Japanese and Global releases. Persona 5: The Phantom X is available worldwide on PC, Android, and iOS.
