Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road sequel announced, with Ares Basara Seed DLC update coming on January 28
Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino made a couple of major announcements related to Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road during the January 2026 InaDai program. One of the biggest reveals in this stream is Hino's reveal that a sequel to Victory Road is now in the works.
Hino specifically mentioned that he has just started writing the scenario for the sequel's story. He also added that this will be the first Inazuma Eleven to be written in the Reiwa era (2019~), as Victory Road originated from Inazuma Eleven Ares game that had been in the works since as early as 2016.
Speaking of Ares, the stream also published details on the major DLC update that will appear on January 28. Titled Ares Basara Seed DLC, this update will not only add story from the Ares arc, but it will also make all characters able to reach Basara. Since Inazuma Eleven Ares ended up only becoming an anime show back then, this will be the first time its story will be featured in the series' video game.
An archived version of the InaDai stream is also available to view right below. The Ares Basara Seed DLC update announcement appears first at the 5:41 timestamp, while the sequel teaser is watchable from 7:06.
