Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana releases on PC on April 16

Following a teaser last month, NIS America has finally nailed down a final release date for the PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. The game will be available next week on Steam and GOG on April 16.

The game features content in the PlayStation 4 version of the game, including the updated localization. Those who purchase the PC version within a week from launch will receive the following content:

Adol’s Adventure Essentials DLC (including the “Silver Armor” and “Adventurer’s Clothes” costumes)
Digital Mini Art Book
Digital Soundtrack Sampler
Laxia’s “Eternian Scholar” Costume

The PC version was originally slated to release alongside the PlayStation 4 version last fall but was suddenly delayed closely before launch due to reported performance issues. We'll soon see if everything has been ironed out.

Ys VIII is also set to be released for Nintendo Switch in late June.
