Metal Max Xeno Reborn Japanese release delayed from March 26 to July 9

Kadokawa Games has announced in Japan that Metal Max Xeno Reborn has been delayed from March 26 - the release date that had been announced previously - to July 9. This is a full remake of Metal Max Xeno where everything from graphics to gameplay systems is being reworked, while also adding more features such as bringing back the series' mascot dog Pochi - which was absent at the original Xeno. It was one of the three Metal Max projects revealed to celebrate the series' 30th anniversary in 2021.

You can find a translation of the comment made by the Metal Max development team, as posted on the Japanese official website, right after the jump.

Currently, we are entering the final stage of development, and the game has become playable, but we concluded that we still need more time to reach the degree of completeness that will satisfy all of our users.

We will take a bit more time and continue proceeding through the development with our full strength, so that we can certainly deliver it with content that will please our customers.

Metal Max Xeno Reborn is set to release for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan. An English localization for this title has yet to be announced. You can check out the trailer and screenshots that have been published previously.
