Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes Expedition Guide: Answers and Responses for all Expeditions

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes lets your protagonist avatar deepen bonds with ally characters with the Expedition feature. To people who have played Fire Emblem: Three Houses, this feature is very reminiscent of the Tea Party - it's a chance to get to know characters on a deeper level, which in FE Warriors: Three Hopes is great for both story and gameplay reasons.  While tea is still somewhat present here, Expeditions put a larger emphasis on the conversations so you get to know the other character much better.

As with a lot of these socially-focused mini-games, doing well is all about knowing the Expeditions Answers and Responses; if you do, you'll be able to submit the proper responses at the proper time and optimize the Support level boosts earned by going through these Expeditions. This guide helps with that:

How to properly do Expeditions in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes

Though you can do it any time, Three Hopes actually prompts you when a character is ready for an Expedition.

There are several prerequisites that must be satisfied before you can invite a character to an Expedition in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. First of all, the character must have been recruited into the playable roster in the current storyline. If you are playing in the permadeath-enabled Classic Mode, make sure the character is still alive and hanging around in the base camp. The protagonist's support level with the character must have also reached at least C, which is first achieved by presenting Gifts or sortieing together in battles.

Once the option becomes available, you will be able to invite characters for an expedition anytime as long as you have an Activity Point to spare. But the best time to invite them will be when a notice shows up that states a character "wants to go on an expedition." Doing the trip with the said character at this time will give great boosts to support points earned during the session.

Your first choice for any given Expedition is where to go. This only occasionally has a minor effect on the interactions during the date.

When you begin the Expedition sequence, the game will let you choose the location. At first, only the Plains will be available, but you can gradually unlock more locations by Expanding the Recreation Center through the base camp's Facilities Master.

The locations themselves do not bring many differences other than the background panorama and the intro scenes. But you may occasionally see an exclamation mark while selecting a location. The exclamation mark indicates that an additional Encounter scene will play in the intro segment. It will come with a set of response choices that give another chance to add a support point with the character.

The best way to get to know the characters of Fire Emblem: Three Hopes on an Expedition is to ask questions using the question prompt - but you have to be careful, as asking the wrong thing can cause offense.

Once all the starting segments are done, the main conversation aspect of Three Hopes' Expedition feature begins. You can either ask a specific question or talk and have the other character raise their own topic. Either way, you will be given three possible choices to respond to their lines, and only one of them will give a correct point.

An Expedition session will let you interact with the character 3 times. If all of them are done correctly, the game will congratulate you with a Perfect Conversation and Extra Time, which will give you many more benefits just like the Tea Party in the original Three Houses:

  • You can view the character at a closer distance.
  • You also get another chance to present a gift and further add more support points with the character.
  • A perfect session adds a bonus Charm stat to both the protagonist and the invited character.

To those who have played the original Three Houses, here are some of the differences between the former's features and this game's Expeditions:

  • While Three Houses' tea party and advice box have time limits, Three Hopes' expedition does not have any so you can take your time in deciding the responses.
  • Unlike Three Houses' tea party where the correct tea choice could reduce the Perfect requirements, you have to get all three responses correct to get a Perfect Conversation in Three Hopes' expedition. The extra Encounter scene does not factor into the Perfect requirements.
Incorrect choices are outright flagged to you when replaying Expeditions you've already seen.

If you have previously performed an Expedition with the character, the game will note the incorrect choices for interactions that have been done before. But you will want to get all responses correct to trigger Extra Time from the first time, and this guide will help you do exactly that. You will find the list of correct responses and answers for every expedition with every ally character in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Here goes...

This guide is in progress. It currently lists responses for questions with only one possible answer from the character. More correct responses will be added in due time.
