It's been yet another big week for news that is surprisingly far more Fire Emblem-centric than we can ever remember. But before we get into that, we always like to chat about the games we've been playing! First off, Josh gets into Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star and how it may not be a good game for newcomers, whereas Kyle shares his experience on Yakuza 0 and how it is in fact the perfect time to jump in. Meanwhile, Darren has spent a little bit of time with Dragon Quest VIII on the 3DS. Finally, Zack goes overboard with what felt like a hundred games he's been playing lately, including Owlboy, Neon Chrome, The Last Guardian, and Criminal Girls.
Heading into news, fans of the Fire Emblem series had a lot to appreciate coming out of the Nintendo Direct this past Wednesday. This included an out-of-nowhere announcement of Fire Emblem Echoes; Koei Tecmo's Fire Emblem Warriors; a new Fire Emblem game coming exclusively to the Switch; and a lot of information about Fire Emblem Heroes for mobile. Along with that, we also discussed the final demo for Nioh, a PVP mode coming to the Switch version of I Am Setsuna, and much more!
